A much needed stress buster : Trip from Goa to Vengurla to Malvan and back to Goa

Trip from Goa to Vengurla to Malvan and back to Goa

Trip from Goa to Vengurla to Malvan
Me and my friends took a trip to Maharashtra. It was indeed a much needed stress buster especially for me but We all had a wonderful time
We left from Panjim at around 6 p.m. after work. We had a pit stop at Mapusa where we picked up the food that was prepared by one of my friends wife. We reached our guest house at Vengural at around 9 p.m. After snacks and drinks, we had a relishing dinner with food specially cooked and brought us all the way from Goa. After dinner we had an antakshiri competition by splitting ourselves into two groups. It was just lot of songs accompanied with music with cups and beats on the table. Lots of laughter, arguments, fights, teasing, yelling and loads of krazziness. It w as my rival group that won. We went to bed late around 2 a.m. I could not get sleep as the guys in my room were snoring (rather roaring like lions), my kicking and yelling at them did suffice to make them stop. So I crept into the other vacant room and slept there. Early morning after breakfast, we went to the market to do shopping for our lunch. We bought rice, masala and lots of fish, which was very cheap comparatively to Goa and fresh. Having left the lunch preparation in the hands of the cook there, we proceeded sightseeing. First it was the Vengurla beach, It was a nice and rocky beach, but nothing compared to the Goan beaches.

Later we proceed to Malvan. We could not go to the Malvan fort as its built in the middle of the sea and the boats carrying passengers to the fort were stopped due to heavy rains. We visited a Ganpati temple on the way and later the Rock Garden and then the beach. We reached around 3 p. m. at the guest house and pounced like a pack of wolves on the ready fish curry rice. We rested there for a while and then started our journey back. We had our evening tea with bajjas at a small hotel on the way. We reached Panjim at around 8 p.m. Yes indeed it was a fun filled weekend. Keep rocking guys I love you all. The pleasant memories will be cherished always. Cheers.

Picnic at Dona Paula Beach (below Cabo Raj Bhavan) - Stress Buster

Picnic Picnic Picnic Picnic Picnic Picnic

It was on Sunday the 8th of March, 2009. After the Sunday mass I got a call from my friend Martin, saying come over to Dona Paula. So having told my mom that I wont be there for lunch, I set out for Dona Paula to my friends place. As I reached Panjim a few of my other friends called up saying that they too are proceeding towards Dona Paula. So we grouped ourselves at Panjim and proceeded towards Dona Paula.

We all met at my friend Martin's place.

So myself, martin along with his daughter Riddi, and other friends Dilip, Azavedo, Deepak and 2 other guys went to the beach. Martin had cooked some delicious food for us, there was
fried rice, tiger prawns, pickle, salad, bread, raw mangoes sliced (yyummmmmm), macrels stuffed with masala, soft drinks & beer. Azavedo got along with him squids masala.
Goshhh it was one of those unplanned picnics that have been a great success..
It was a great afternoon lunch, followed by bath at the sea, a beautiful sunset to end the day.

Cheers Party begins
