Feast of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception
Feast of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, Panjim-Goa.
The photographs of crowd gathered at the Our Lady of Immaculate Conception at nightThe Parishioners of Calangute celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception. This feast is also celebrated in Panjim, Margao as well as many other parishes in Goa. This was the day passed as a Church dogma by Pope Pius IX on 8th december 1854 The main celebrant for the high mass was Fr. Frank Pinto along with Fr. Carmo Martins and other priests.
after the high mass a procession was taken out followed by the brass band.
The fair for the feast lasts for three days lasts for three days. There are many stalls put up catering to food stuff, clothes, toys, games, music cd's, and also copper & steel items There are a number of progammes planned in the parish for the occasion over a period of 3 days.
