The Trip to the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Chorao
Finally, I managed to have a trip to the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary at Charao Island Goa on 14th of April, 2010. A group of 8 friends plus another small group of 4 joined in for the Boat trip at the sanctuary. Well all those who had promised could not make it, but in turn I had some unexpected members joining in for the trip in spite of the heavy rains early morning.
We met up at the Ferry point at Ribandar, took the ferry and moved across to the Chorao Island. At Chorao we took a boat that took us around the island. We halted at the Tower for having a ariel view of the Bird Sanctuary and was trilled to see that so much green still exists in my emerald Goa. Our group made up of Neil and Pamela from UK, Virva from Finland, Hipolito, Aloke and Anoop. I enjoyed the trip which was followed by breakfast at Hotel Vihar.
